Associate Producer
Are you an organised and proactive professional who enjoys bringing structure and clarity to complex development processes? Join us at Grendel as an Associate Producer and help support our game development teams in delivering high-quality serious games.
In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Producer, development teams, and leadership to help ensure projects run smoothly. You will support planning, sprint preparation, and project tracking so that teams can stay focused on development while maintaining alignment with project scope, timelines, and priorities.

What are you going to do?
As an Associate Producer, you will support the Senior Producer in maintaining the smooth execution of the development process. You will help ensure that planning, sprint preparation, and project tracking remain structured, transparent, and up to date.
You will collaborate closely with the CEO, Senior Producer, development teams, and sales when needed to ensure projects stay aligned with scope, timelines, and priorities.
Responsibilities
Backlog & Sprint Management
• Maintain a clean, well-structured backlog, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, linked, and ready for sprint planning.
• Prepare upcoming sprints by ensuring tasks are clearly defined, dependencies identified, and work ready for sprint planning.
• Track dependencies across disciplines and ensure they are visible and addressed before they block development.
• Maintain clear structure and visibility within production tools (ClickUp), ensuring work is properly linked, tracked, and visible across teams.
Blockers & Risk Management
• Identify blockers early and involve the appropriate stakeholders.
• Escalate issues that impact scope, priorities, or deadlines.
• Maintain visibility of key project risks including technical, scheduling, scope, and dependency risks.
• Support the team and Senior Producer in identifying mitigation options when risks threaten delivery timelines or scope.
Follow-up & Execution Support
• Ensure tasks have clear ownership, status, and visibility within the production system.
• Capture key actions from planning sessions and retrospectives and ensure they are visible and followed up when relevant.
• Monitor sprint execution and signal early if sprint goals are at risk.
• Support testing preparation and milestone readiness.
Project Planning & Monitoring
• Support the Senior Producer in maintaining project timelines, planning visibility, and progress tracking.
• Assist with scheduling and monitoring project timelines.
• Help maintain clarity on priorities and business impact.
• Assist in aligning sprint execution with broader project goals.
• Track capacity signals and highlight potential workload or scheduling constraints.
Communication & Reporting
• Provide concise production updates highlighting what has changed, what may be at risk, and what decisions may be required.
• Act as a coordination point between development and management for non-content related matters.
• Support clear and transparent communication within the team.
Team Support
• Help maintain visibility of sprint goals and dependencies across the team.
• Identify cross-team dependencies and anticipate potential scheduling issues.
• Support a structured and transparent production environment that helps teams stay focused on development work.
What We’re Looking For
Required
• Ability to maintain an overview of complex development processes.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Comfortable working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Ability to track multiple tasks, dependencies, and risks simultaneously.
• Clear communication skills in English.
• Proactive, structured, and growth-oriented mindset.
• Ability to balance detailed execution with an understanding of overall project goals.
Preferred
• Experience in game development or serious games.
• Familiarity with ClickUp or similar project management tools.
